French Enameled Dial Coin Silver Ladies' Pocket Watch in Folk Art Carved Hutch,
2007, Clock & Watch Auction, April 12th
lot of 2, includes a fine hand-carved black walnut watch hutch in floral scroll design with matching carved base, top scrolled crest is removable to allow access to the watch, 8.8" x 2.75" x 5.4" high. The watch is a size 13 open face with ornate fancy enameled dial with both white and cream with Roman on chapter ring, ticks marking outer minute ring with triangles every 15 minutes, seconds hand below center with Arabic every 10 seconds, center with garter of polychrome and gilt flowers and outer edge with similar floral band, ornate floral scroll hallmarked silver case with engraved mountain village on rear cover, marked on interior Galonne, unmarked movement.
